Birdie Zero strips the Birdie family back to its essential element. Ludovica and Roberto Palomba took the familiar flared lampshade and set it straight onto the table, with no stem and no base, so the shade itself becomes the whole lamp: a soft, slightly tapered cone of white that glows from within.
The diffuser spreads an even, warm light all around and casts a brighter halo onto the surface below, which makes it a calm presence on a bedside table, a sideboard or a shelf. It comes in two sizes, both in white, with an on/off switch on the cord, and the pair works well grouped together.
