Jasper Morrison set out to capture the quiet radiance of a full moon with Glo-Ball, and Glo-Ball Basic is where the series began. A softly flattened sphere of hand-blown, acid-etched opaline glass rests on a compact base, spreading an even, ambient glow with no hot spots – an expression of Morrison’s Super Normal approach to understated, everyday forms. Glo-Ball is part of the permanent collection at MoMA.
Choose the petite Small (Basic Zero Switch) with an in-line switch for a bedside or shelf, or the generous Large (Basic 2) with an in-line dimmer as a statement on a console or sideboard. The diffuser is secured by a die-cast aluminum ring nut above a fiberglass-reinforced polyamide base.
