Ronan Bouroullec designed Luce Cilindrica as a quiet feat of craft and industry: a slender body of polished extruded aluminum sheathed in a row of hand-finished borosilicate glass cylinders, joined by traditional spacers. Suspended on fine steel wires, the long horizontal form reads almost weightless, a line of light that seems ready to dissolve into the room.
Two linear LED sources inside the body throw light both up and down, and an integrated touch dimmer controls each direction independently, so the fixture can wash the ceiling, pool light on a dining table, or do both at once. Offered in three lengths, it can hang singly over an island or in parallel rows across a larger space.
