The floor base is the free-standing way to power Michael Anastassiades’ String Light (2014). Rather than wiring into a ceiling or wall rose, the String Light Cone or Sphere element plugs into this compact polycarbonate base, which sits on the floor, plugs into a standard outlet and doubles as the on/off switch: press the top of the cover to turn the light on or off.
Up to two elements can run from one base, and up to 10 m of excess cable winds away inside it, so the cable can be routed up the wall and across the ceiling with no electrician. Available in black, blue and white to match the elements. String Light elements are sold separately.
